Global X Management Names Three New Directors

Global X Management, a New York-based provider of exchange-traded funds, has appointed three new regional directors.

Kize Behrends joins from Deutsche Bank, where he was the first ETF regional vice president at the Frankfurt-headquartered firm, according to Global X. He was instrumental in building Deutsche Bank's passive investment platform and spent a total of eight years with the group. In his new role, he will serve as regional director in the Midwest region of the US.

Devan O'Dowd joins from Cedar Capital, an ETF strategist and liquid alternative provider, where he was a director and product specialist, responsible for distribution efforts on the West Coast. He started his career with Morningstar as part of its advisor sales team. O'Dowd will be responsible for client relations and distribution in the Pacific Southwest.

John Stec was most recently executive vice president at Accuvest Global Advisors, where he led the firm's US sales and marketing efforts. He began his financial services career as an internal wholesaler for First Trust Portfolios. At Global X, Stec will be responsible for distribution across all channels in the Pacific Northwest.

All three will report to Brian Diessner, Global X's head of sales.

“They each have a proven track record of bringing consultative value to financial advisors and they will be a great asset as we continue to grow the team to support the demand for our expanding suite of ETF solutions," said Bruno del Ama, chief executive of Global X Funds.
